Final Showreel

Here is my final show real, I'm pleased with how it turned out. I made sure the videos went in time to the music I chose, I felt like it made the video more fun to watch. It didn't out the videos in any particular order, just what I felt looked good. I realise that a lot of showreels have the best work at the beginning and end so the best stuff is most memorable. But the animation at the end with the crying character fit the song perfectly, I felt like this video showed my likes and personality.

I feel like I could have let the audience know more about my work, I could have had text of what kind of animation it was in the corner of the screen. But I felt like maybe that might ruin it.

Showreel Attempt

I attempted to make my showreel, I like that the clip are in time with the music. But I feel like I need to change the font, it seems too clinical.

This showreel is about how the process was done on the projects they produced which I feel is the best way to go about making a showreel, if you show your making then the audience will understand. And be impressed.

Example I found of a CG animated showreel, I understand their intentionof keeping the same colour all the way through, but it just seems too tacky for me. The colour is too bright, it distracts me from the actual work that they have produced. I would keep mine simple with black and whites.

Pheonix Instrumental

I found this instrumental version of Pheonix's lisztomania, if anything this fits my showreel. Since I don't have any words to distract to audience from what they're watching. But again, copyright issues.

Sound Track

I've decided to choose Lisztomania by Phoenix as my soundtrack, it plays at my work constantly and I really like this song. I also remember it from this youtube video I found a couple of years ago. 

It just means a lot to me, although I realise I may have some issues with copyright. Even if I don't intend on using this showreel to make money.

Task - Looking at Showreels

I must look at 3 different showreels, both effective and ineffective. I need to analyse the format and presentation of each one.
